In northern Oregon Mt. Hood dominates the skyline. Roads heading east offer viewpoints with lovely vistas of the mountain often framed by tree covered ridges that rise steeply from river valleys that flow from the mountain. The quilt in the picture has been done in a combination of hand appliqué and raw-edged machine appliqué; however, it may be constructed using any appliqué methods. Three appliqué methods are given in this pattern!
